How to Host:
1) Select "Host" on starting screen.2) Select "Use Existing WiFi Network" Or "Use This Device as a Network".2a) If selecting "Use Existing WiFi Network" ensure you are connected to the WiFi network of choice- the app will turn on your WiFi and your phone will connect to any known WiFi networks, otherwise you will have to connect manually.2b) If selecting "Use This Device as a Network" go to step 3.
(this option requires you to create a password in the next step, the phone will turn on your hotspot and configure it for you automatically)3) Change settings to your liking.
(Default settings are optimal) Fill out server name and your name.
Select Done.4) Add songs as you please.
(recommended minimum of 50 - to make it easy, make a playlist on device beforehand)5) Make the Password to either the WiFi Network (step 2a) or your Device Network (step 2b), known to your Party/Venue.
How to Join:
1) Select Join on the starting screen.2) Find out from Host or other users if WiFi or Hotspot is being used.2a) If WiFi is being used connect to the WiFi.
Then select "Use Existing WiFi".
(Find out Details From Host or Others already Connected)2b) If Hotspot is being used Select "Connect VIA Hotspot", then find out the password from Host or Others already Connected.3) Now enter your name and select the server and your ready to start voting for What's Next!
(Hotspot users will have to enter the Password here)
Known bugs/issues:
- On startup song doesn't automatically play, host required to hit the skip button- On rare occasions next song does not start top lay and skip button needs to be hit- On rare occasions users are logged out of server and asked to share something.
Unknown why.
just ignore it and re log into server-Server may cause UI lag for host while in app
